Foot & Ankle Pain

The feet & ankles contain over 30 joints which allow for the complicated movement of the foot.

In normal walking the movement of the foot goes from internal rotation to external rotation, from flexion to extension, while the small movements of the joints, ligaments and muscles intricately move together to create a position that can bear weight while changing direction quickly.

Common problems in this region are plantarfascitis, achilles tendinitis, stiffening of the toes, and ankle sprains.  Many clients may benefit from specific insoles, however, when functional analysis is done the posterior chain of one of the leg is often far tighter than the other and thus contributing toward calf tightness, achilles tendonitis and plantarfascitis.
